The highway area of the Council of Tenerife will continue next week with the rehabilitation work of the TF-1which will focus on the municipalities of Arico Y Passion fruit.
Specifically, the works will be carried out in the direction of Santa Cruz from the night of Sunday, May 22, until the morning of Friday, May 27as reported by the Island Corporation.
In this regard, the vice president and director of the area, Enrique Arriagastressed that “it is a road whose rehabilitation and reinforcement of the pavement were necessary, since approximately 90,000 cars a day circulate on it.”
He recalled here that the action is focused on the comprehensive rehabilitation of the most deteriorated areas of this road and on guaranteeing the safety of the people who use it, for which an investment of €15,404,569.
The improvement work carried out by the Sacyr company is centered this week around the Entrance links to the Granadilla Industrial Estate (50 and 52), from Monday to Wednesday, as well as accesses of Chimiche, El Río and Las Maretas (49), on Thursday night.
Likewise, with the aim of guaranteeing traffic on the road and minimizing inconvenience to drivers, the rehabilitation work will be carried out between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
For its part, Highways will establish the necessary detours around the work zones, which will be the same until Wednesday. Therefore, vehicles that want to access the Granadilla Industrial Estate from Santa Cruz must continue to the Chimiche / El Río / Las Maretas junction (49), make a U-turn and return towards Adeje until the Granadilla Industrial Estate junction. , Access B (52) or the connection to Polígono Industrial de Granadilla, Acceso A (50).
In addition, those who wish to go to Santa Cruz from this area will have to leave towards the South Airport until the San Isidro/El Médano junction (55), make a U-turn and join the road.
On Thursday night, people traveling in the direction of Santa Cruz and wishing to access the Granadilla Industrial Estate or the Chimiche, El Río or Las Maretas nuclei must continue to the Tajao/Environmental Complex junction (46), make a U-turn and head south to the destination area.
Finally, in the case of wanting to head north from these points, users of the road will have to leave towards South Airport until junction 55, make a U-turn and merge towards Santa Cruz.
