The Civil Guard has arrested a person in the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife who was carrying about 15 kilograms of cocaine inside his truck.
As reported this Friday by the Meritorious, the detainee arrived on the island from Gran Canaria with a truck-type vehicle, belonging to a construction and reform company.
A canine agent from the Civil Guard also participated in the checkpoint, which detected the presence of narcotic substances in the vehicle.
After failing to locate the drug, the agents moved the truck to the non-intrusive inspection center, which is located in the same port area. There, through a scanner of the Tax Agency, the presence of some packages was detected. After doing a reactive test, it gave a positive result for cocaine.
The detainee, along with the proceedings instructed, has passed to judicial disposition in the Investigating Court on guard duty.
