A 60-year-old man is in serious condition after drowning in a swimming pool in an apartment complex in Adeje, on the island of Tenerife, as reported by the 112 Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordination Center.
The events occurred this Wednesday afternoon on Antonio Navarro street in the aforementioned municipality, a place to which the staff of the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) have traveled after being alerted that they had taken from the pool of a complex apartment to a man who was in cardiorespiratory arrest.
Thus, while other people who were at the scene began to practice resuscitation maneuvers, a coordinating doctor from the SUC, present in the operating room of 112, gave instructions via telecare to the alert person for the care of the affected person.
Subsequently, a doctor and a nurse from the health center in the area, together with the SUC staff, verified upon arrival that the affected person had been recovered. Thus, after being stabilized, he was transferred in serious condition in the ambulance to the Hospital Universitario Hospiten Sur.
Local Police officers also appeared at the scene of the incident and collaborated in the transfer of health center personnel to the scene of the incident.
