Sentenced to five years in prison for sharing videos of sexual assaults on girls

Magistrates of Section V of the Provincial Court of Santa Cruz of Tenerife condemned “in voce” this Wednesday morning to five years in prison for a manResident in Adeje and nationality italianfor a crime of corruption of minors, since he downloaded and shared dozens of pedophilia files in an instant messaging application.

The defendant, as well as his lawyer, admitted the facts and agreed with the qualification raised by the Prosecutor’s Office, represented by the prosecutor Alexander Salinas. His acceptance of the accusation meant that his prison sentence was reduced by three years compared to what was initially requested by the Public Ministry. In addition to the five years of imprisonment, the transalpine citizen has been sentenced to eight years of disqualification from working with minors and, after leaving the penitentiary center, to ten years of supervised freedom.

criminal action was detected, at first, by an NGO from the United States specialized in discovering these realities, who informed the Central Technological Investigation Brigade of the National Police in Madrid. The data was sent to the Technological Crime Group of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. With the IP addresses of the devices from which the images of pedophilia were shared, the agents managed to locate and identify the now condemned man. It’s about AM, an Italian settled in Adeje.

An investigator from the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade of Santa Cruz de Tenerife explained that two mobile phones and a laptop were seized during an entry and search. When analyzing these effects, the national police detected messages with the exchange of files with sexual abuse and assault on minors.

The officer explained that the image exchanges were carried out through uan application called “kick”, with a function similar to whatsapp, where users put links or url addresses, which referred to image storage pages. In addition to sharing photos or videos, the now condemned man also chatted with other users through said application.

“Little kids”

AM was part of a chat in which one of the priorities was sharing images of sexual abuse or assault on young girls and the common denomination of those victims was “little kids” (little girls, in English). Another of the characteristics of this group was the “high degree of sexual violence” exerted on the minors who appeared in the images, as confirmed by the National Police officer who testified at the trial.

The administrator of the aforementioned group made things clear to the members: either they uploaded images of pedophilia or expelled them from the chat, said the officer of the Technological Crimes Group of the National Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

One of the videos that most impacted the agents was in which a Brazilian girl of just five years old appeared, to whom objects were introduced vaginally and anally, while the little girl remained tied.

The investigation carried out by the National Police was so solid that the strategy of the defense attorney and the accused consisted in accepting responsibility for the events.

Based on this circumstance, the prosecutor Alejandro Salinas agreed to reduce the period of deprivation of liberty in the sentence from eight to five years, as well as reduce the time in which the Italian citizen will not be able to carry out any job, paid, from twelve to eight years. or not, that implies their relationship with minors.

At the end of the hearing, the defendant showed his regret for what he did and clarified that “I am very sorry”, before the magistrates, the representative of the Public Ministry and his lawyer.
