SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 16 May. (EUROPE PRESS) –

A 55-year-old man has been seriously injured in a traffic accident that occurred Monday on the General South Highway (TF-28), as it passed through the municipality of El Rosario, in Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency Coordination Center and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2.

The event occurred shortly after eight in the morning, when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert informing of the departure of a vehicle that had collided with a wall, whose driver was unconscious, at kilometer 5.10 of the TF-28, heading south.

A person who was at the scene and who identified himself as a lifeguard found that the affected person was in cardiorespiratory arrest, so he began performing basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers on him following the instructions of the SUC coordinating doctor present in the operating room on 1 -1-2.

The SUC staff, upon arrival at the accident site, continued with advanced resuscitation maneuvers and, once recovered from cardiorespiratory arrest, the affected person was transferred by ambulance to the Hospital Universitario Ntra. Sra. de Candelaria, where he was admitted in critical condition. serious.

The Civil Guard made the corresponding statement and the Local Police collaborated with the emergency resources displaced to the place.
