The Local Police of Arona has withdrawn 100 electric scooters in the last six months for obstructing public roads, which will be destroyed if they are not claimed within a period of between five and six months after their transfer to the municipal vehicle depot.
these scooters were improperly parked on sidewalks, loading and unloading areas or in car parks reserved for people with reduced mobilityamong others, as reported on Monday by the Arona City Council in a statement.
Likewise, some of these scooters have been withdrawn for circulating in prohibited areas.
The Councilor for Security of Arona, Francisco Marichal, points out that it is necessary to ensure proper use of public space and work to remove obstacles that impede free movement for all citizens, and that there are no barriers.
