Yesterday, the streets of the Salamanca district experienced a festive day in which the Virgin of Fatima returned to procession through its streets, accompanied by her faithful. Before the beginning of the procession, the Church was filled with parishioners who attended the invitation to accompany the Virgin of Fátima, patron saint of the Local policewhich yesterday celebrated its festivity.
After the Eucharist, the image began its journey through the streets of the neighborhood accompanied by the traditional cheers to the Virgin, while flower petals were thrown from the balconies. The parish priest made some stops to bless the houses and businesses in the areas, also stopping in front of the Quirón and Febles Campos hospitals. In Salamanca street they even sang to her image. A celebration that ended with fireworks.
Representing the Santa Cruz City Council, the Councilor for Security, Evelyn Alonso, and the Councilor for Equality, Purificación Dávila, attended.
