The Department of Public Services continues to update the records of the city’s public car parks through which it is adjusting both the rates to be paid by users and the canon that the winners pay to the City hall. The last one that has been informed of the need to make adjustments in its prices is the El Pilar car park, the Puerto Escondido car park.
The area directed by Carlos Tarife has ordered the concessionaire, in this case Inversiones Parque SA, to lower the current rate of 1.95 euros for the first hour, to a maximum of 1.26 euros. A price that, as reflected in the file, is 54% higher than that allowed.
In the study carried out, the allegations made by the El Pilar car park concession company are incorporated, in which it defends that the rate corresponding to one hour of stay in the car park is 1.75 euros per hour, divided into 0.80 euros for the first 10 minutes to which another 0.019 is added for the remaining 50 minutes of an hour. Allegations not supported by the council when estimating that even the rate that is applied, “is higher than the one actually applied, and of course, the maximum allowed.”
Regarding the canon, unlike what has happened in previous files, this time it is the City Council that must return close to 400 euros to the dealer.
