SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 14 May. (EUROPE PRESS) –
A 50-year-old man has had to be rescued by the emergency services after being injured when he fell on the path that goes from El Draguillo to Las Palmas de Anaga, in the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as reported by the Center Emergency and Security Coordinator (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The event occurred yesterday, shortly after 10:00 p.m., when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert requesting health care for a hiker who had fallen down a slope. The affected person was 1.5 kilometers away from the beginning of the trail.
Cecoes 1-1-2 firefighters from Tenerife, a land unit from the Canary Islands Government Emergency and Rescue Group, the Helimer Maritime Rescue helicopter, a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service were activated. (SUC), Local Police, National Police and Civil Protection.
Firefighters from Tenerife and the ground unit of the GES located the affected person, but given the difficulty of his rescue, they requested the collaboration of the Helimer. After rescuing him, the helicopter transferred the affected person to the Tenerife South Airport, where an ambulance from the SUC took care of him and transferred him to a hospital due to various moderate injuries.
