Similarly, the mayor for the Environment, Leopoldo Díaz Oda, celebrates the fact that Arona has once again obtained the recognition of the blue flags in El Camisón and Las Vistas, “once again emphasizing its quality and safety, and placing the beaches of Arona among the first in the Canary Islands. In Search of Excellence

In the year 2021 there were 16 Tenerife beaches with Blue Flags. This year four have left the list and none are from the municipality of Arona. These are Troya I and II, La Enramada (Adeje) and the Jardín and San Telmo beaches (Puerto de La Cruz). As for the marinas, the distinction of the Real Cul Náutico de Santa Cruz de Tenerife is maintained and the Puerto Deportivo de Los Gigantes loses it.
