A 53-year-old man drowned on a beach in southern Tenerife dies

A 53-year-old man has died in the municipality of Arico (Tenerife) after being pulled from the sea with signs of drowning late in the afternoon, as reported by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government.

The CECOES received an alert informing that a man with signs of drowning had been taken from the sea and required medical assistance. After verifying that the man was in cardiorespiratory arrest, the people who were at the scene performed resuscitation maneuvers following the instructions given by telecare by a coordinating doctor present in the operating room.

In addition, the staff of the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) and the health center in the area continued to perform advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers without success, for which they confirmed the death of the man. Finally, the Civil Guard carried out the corresponding proceedings.
