This afternoon, the function room of the entity CajaSiete resumes one of those traditions, with which the capital begins to smell like the Carnival of Santa Cruz, and it is none other than the drawing of the order of participation of the groups in the contests.
After the pandemic, it will be the first time that all the groups will be able to see each other’s faces without restrictions, a long-awaited reunion by all. The raffle will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will allow murgas, rondallas, comparsas and choreographic groups to know the position in which they will go on stage at the Fairgrounds in their respective competitions.
After the draw, the Councilor for Fiestas, Alfonso Hair, will hold a meeting with the adult murgas, who have requested a reading of the bases together with Fiestas so that it is clear what can and cannot be done. Apparently there are suspicions among the murgas due to the possible relaxation in the interpretation of the same that can lead to favoring some groups over others.
As for the assembly of the stage, which should have started yesterday, it has been delayed as the footbridge of the Tenerife Volcano Fashionwhich was held this weekend at the Recinto Ferial, so Fiestas will have to wait for the free space to be left.
