Although the situation tends to return to normal, the truth is that there are still delays in the arrival of building materials to the Islands. This is the reason why the delivery of the capital Palace of Carta de Santa Cruz It has been delayed, in principle, until the month of July, although depending on how long it takes for various materials to arrive, such as the door of the building itself, which is going to be replaced, the delivery date could be extended even further.

This was explained to DIARIO DE AVISOS by the Councilor for Infrastructure, Dámaso Arteaga. “The work continues to develop normally, but it is true that the delay in the delivery of materials has caused the delivery time to be extended,” he said.

“We have not been far from the date, which was initially scheduled for June. We trust that this summer we can count the Charter Palace already fully rehabilitated to make it available to the public”, added Arteaga.

A visitor center will be installed on the first floor of the Palacio de Carta, located in the Plaza de la Candelaria, which is the one undergoing the reform. One of the most important milestones of the intervention is to recover a second interior patio for the public, whose access is through Calle San José, along with the placement of a retractable staircase for access by people with disabilities.
