The City Council of Arona will invest almost 162,000 euros in the coming months in the modernization and improvement of the two nurseries it has, located in the towns of El Fraile and Buzanada, two actions aimed at responding to a historic claim carried out by part of the educational community. In the first there are currently 50 children, while the second houses 65.
The works are already in the bidding process with a budget of 161,712 euros and an execution period of four months, all of this in a process launched by the public company that manages the social resources of Arona, called Adesa, whose CEO is Julia Raquel Morales Borges.
The objective of the works is, on the one hand, to provide shade to facilities used by children and that are located in a municipality like Arona, subject to many hours of sunshine throughout the year. In this way, the ability to use the space of the nurseries is reinforced compared to the current one. For this, the installation of twenty pergolas is planned, which would cover the main exteriors of the children’s centers. On the other hand, it wants to adapt and modernize the pavement, taking a qualitative leap with the installation of more than 277 square meters of surface designed for children’s use.
