The Cabildo de Tenerife approves subsidies to non-profit organizations dedicated to social affairs -third sector- on the Island with a total amount of 285,000 euros. The concession procedure will be by competitive concurrence. All projects must be executed between June 1 of this year and June 1, 2023, but the entities that are beneficiaries will have two more months, between June and July 2023, to justify the expense of the subsidy.
The first line of subsidy is aimed at strengthening associationism: support for entities that work in social and community care, citizen participation, community development, interculturality and diversity. Line 2 is aimed at promoting LGBTIQ+ diversity. And the third is for the strengthening of the associative fabric and social inclusion of the Roma people. The Participation Counselor, Nauzet Gugliotta, highlights that these grants will serve the entities to promote diversity projects for a year.
