SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, May 9. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife has approved the subsidies for the associative fabric of the third sector on the island with a total amount of 285,000 euros.
The CEO of Citizen Participation and Diversity, Nauzet Gugliotta, recalls that this economic injection will serve the entities to promote diversity projects for a year.
The approval of the bases and the announcement of these subsidies aimed at strengthening the associative fabric of the island of Tenerife are divided into three different lines of action, all with common criteria but also specific to each one of them.
For many entities, this aid will also serve to defray the expenses of their activity.
“The concession procedure will be by competitive bidding, according to established assessment criteria, always objective for each of the lines,” Nauzet Gugliotta detailed in a note.
Along these lines, he commented that “all the projects must be executed between June 1, 2022 and June 1, 2023, but the entities that are beneficiaries will have two more months, between June and July 2023, to justify the expense of the grant”.
The first line of subsidy is intended to strengthen associations.
Its objective is to provide financial support to third sector entities that work in the field of social and community care, citizen participation, community development, interculturality, LGBTIQ+ diversity and the promotion of the Gypsy People.
It also focuses its attention on defending the rights of people who have a disability, disorder, illness or pathology recognized by the National Health System.
For Line 1 there is an assigned credit of 155,000 euros, with a maximum of 6,200 euros for each project.
Line 2 is aimed at promoting LGBTIQ+ diversity, has a budget of 80,000 euros and a maximum of 25,000 euros for each project that is presented.
AWARENESS ACTIONS
This line seeks to promote projects aimed at assistance, support, social inclusion and citizen participation of the LGBTIQ+ community.
In addition, it seeks to support awareness-raising and training actions on LGBTIQ+ realities, for which it will be especially valued that the actions are aimed at LGBTIQ+ people who have a recognized disability, disorder, illness or pathology and that these activities implement social integration actions.
The third subsidy line, endowed with 50,000 euros and a maximum of 12,500 euros per project, is aimed at strengthening the associative fabric and social inclusion of the Roma people.
In this way, the aim is to strengthen the gypsy social fabric through the development of projects aimed at its promotion, especially for young people and women.
Likewise, it will be valued in any case that the beneficiaries of the project or some of its activities are people from the Roma People who have a disability, disorder, illness or pathology and, as was the case of the previous line, integration activities are implemented Social.
