SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, May 9. (EUROPE PRESS) –
A helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) rescued a 70-year-old hiker in serious condition in Punta del Hidalgo on Monday.
The events occurred after 12:30 p.m. when the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert in which the affected person himself requested health care for a health problem on a trail.
The GES helicopter rescued the affected person with the collaboration of members of the Tenerife Fire Brigade and transferred him to the Tenerife North Airport where an ambulance from the SUC took charge of his assistance and transferred him to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands (HUC).
