the heat shoots up to 34 degrees

The heat will press on Canary Islands in the next few hours and a dip in the sea seems like one of the best remedies to cool off. If temperatures close to 30 degrees are expected this Sunday on some of the islands, the Meteorology Statal Agency (Aemet) has activated for next Monday, May 9, the pre-alert (yellow warning) before the possibility that the mercury reaches 34 degrees in the eastern province of the Archipelago starting at 1:00 p.m.

Specifically, the summits, east, west and south of Gran Canaria and the entire island of Fuerteventura.

05/07 10:36 #AEMET advance #FMA by temp. max in the Canary Islands. Assets THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW. Yellow max level. Image of the warning map in force at 10:36 To see an updated table of warnings, CLICK ON THE IMAGE or visit https://t.co/kIFdlmdNJ8 https://t.co/jrs6pUm70O

For on Sundaythe Aemet has predicted possible locally very strong gusts of wind in areas exposed to the trade winds La Palma, La Gomera and Gran Canaria, and wind in the middle and high areas that could be strong, especially in La Palma.

Predominance of clear or slightly cloudy skies, except for an occasional interval over the northern coasts of the islands of greater relief and some interval of high clouds in the afternoon.

Probability haze on Lanzarote and Fuerteventurabeing higher the concentration in height, with less probability it could occur in midlands and summits oriented to the east of Gran Canaria.

Temperatures in slight to moderate rise, more pronounced in areas of the southern interior of Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, and Tenerife, where they could exceed 30 ºC.

On the coasts, wind from the northeast, more intense on the southeast and northwest slopes of the islands with greater relief where there could be occasional strong winds.

are not discarded locally very strong wind gusts in exposed areas The Palm, La Gomera Y Gran Canariaand in the early hours on the western slope of Fuerteventura.

In the midlands and summits, this component is moderate to strong, more intense in La Palma.

In the sea there will be a north or northeast component force 2 to 4 on the north coast, and in the rest, north or northeast force 4 or 5, increasing at night to 5 or 6. Swell or swell increasing to a strong swell on the southeast and west coasts . On the southwest coast, variable 1 to 3, curly or tidal. North sea bottom of 1 to 2 meters.
