Today San Isidro begins its festivities in honor of San Isidro Labrador and Santa María de la Cabeza, whose program will conclude on the 15th. The fairgrounds host, from 8:00 p.m., the X Taifa Dance with performances by the groups Viñático , Guaydil, Feel Sureño, Friends of Abona, Parranda El Escaldón, Magec, Parranda Chasnera and One hour less.
Cultural events include the theatrical performance La noche imprudente, Mañana, and the musical show Contigo aprendí, in the SIEC auditorium, as well as the Day of Traditions, scheduled for May 15, in the Plaza de la Cultura, together with the hermitage, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. It will have craft stands, folklore, exhibitions, children’s workshops and tastings, among other things. The IV Route of the Senses will take place on Friday, the 13th, at the San Isidro fairgrounds, starting at 8:00 p.m., with performances by different groups.
Among the religious acts, there will be mass at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th and a procession. On the day of the patron, May 15, the liturgy will be at 11:00 am, apart from the procession and the offering to the patron saints of the town.
