SAN SEBASTIAN DE LA GOMERA, May 6. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The rescue helicopter of the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands has rescued a woman who had been blocked by a landslide on a path in Hermigua, in La Gomera, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center of the 112 of the Canary Islands.
The events occurred this Thursday afternoon on a path near the Church of the aforementioned municipality, a place to which the GES helicopter moved after being alerted to the events and after obtaining the location of the affected person, after contacting with it, and check that he was in good health.
The woman, who was rescued unharmed by the GES helicopter, was evacuated to the San Sebastián de La Gomera helipad where Civil Guard agents were waiting for her to collect data and prepare the corresponding report.
Civil Protection and Anaga Emergency Assistance (AEA) personnel also appeared at the scene of the incident, arriving close to the area where the collapse had occurred but finally leaving the scene when the rescue was carried out by air.
