SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 5 May. (EUROPE PRESS) –
A helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands rescued a 31-year-old hiker injured with minor lower limb trauma after a fall on the peak of Mount Teide on Thursday.
The events occurred at 1:15 p.m. when the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert requesting health care for a hiker who had been injured and could not continue the march .
The GES helicopter rescued the affected woman and took her to the La Guancha helipad where an ambulance from the SUC took care of her and transferred her to the Hospital del Norte while
Consortium firefighters collaborated in the rescue tasks.
