This year’s motto is The challenge of biodiversity conservation and its contents will address issues on botany, fauna, land management, recovery of degraded spaces, sustainable companies, the Teno Rural Park or the impact of exotic species.
These sessions are supported by the Consortium of Isla Baja, the Cabildo de Tenerife area and the municipalities of the region. The inaugural conference, this Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in the old convent of San Sebastián, is entitled The botanical treasures of Tenerife and will be in charge of Jose Garcia Casanova. On Saturday, May 7, there will be an ethnographic route through High Teno, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; another route through the Charcas de Erjos, from 9:00 to 12:00; an electric bike ride; family workshops from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Plaza de La Luz. In the afternoon the group of Nature Photographers of Tenerife will be presented, there will be Storytelling in Green and the conference will close with a round table on the impact of exotic species on biodiversity and the delivery of the award for environmental work Piedra de los Cochinos.
