SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, May 2. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Mixed Group-Citizens (Cs) will propose in the Debate on the General Orientation of the Insular Policy that will be held next Wednesday three proposals with the aim of improving road circulation and making different avenues of several municipalities of Tenerife more pleasant for pedestrians .
The spokesman for Cs in the Cabildo de Tenerife, Enrique Arriaga, pointed out that it is vital to make the different towns on the island more comfortable places for their neighbors and visitors, while improving circulation by reducing the problems generated by traffic, a situation which is extremely complicated in Los Cristianos, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna.
To do this, the party proposes, on the one hand, to urge the Government of the Canary Islands to commission and execute a project to bury Chayofita Avenue in Los Cristianos at its intersection with Juan Carlos I Avenue, in order to create a direct exit port traffic and solve congestion problems generated by port traffic.
Another of the registered proposals proposes requesting the City Council of La Laguna to carry out the necessary actions to obtain the availability of the land to undertake the remodeling of Avenida República Argentina, as well as to record in its budget the corresponding item to assume the part of municipal competence. which exceeds 9 million euros.
The City Councils of Santa Cruz de Tenerife are also urged, in another of the registered resolution proposals, to obtain the necessary land to develop the crossing of the TF-180 island road, between the Vuelta de los Pájaros and Vistabella, as well as record in its budget 3,116,970 euros.
According to Arriaga, these are fundamental actions for the road development of these three municipalities and that will mean a substantial improvement towards more pleasant and accessible environments.
