SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 30 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Area of Roads and Mobility of the Cabildo de Tenerife will continue working on the rehabilitation of the Autopista del Sur (TF-1) from this Sunday until next Thursday and will focus the improvement works on four different links.

Specifically, the points where they will act will be South Airport (59), Costa Adeje/La Caleta/Fañabé (78), Adeje (79), Las Nieves/Los Olivos (79B) and Los Menores/Armeñime/Playa Paraíso (81) .

The island councilor for Roads, Enrique Arriaga, explained that the comprehensive rehabilitation of 40 kilometers of this road is “an example of sustainable intervention by reusing 50% of the asphalt.”

The work, carried out by Sacyr, this week will affect the road in both directions. Specifically, the improvement actions will be carried out at night, between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., so that inconvenience to users is minimised.

To guarantee the safety of the area, the Highway Area will enable different detours. The works on Sunday night will consist of the repair of the deceleration lane of junction 59 in the south direction, by cutting the right lane from kilometer point 58.6 to 59.2, south direction.

Thus, vehicles heading towards Adeje and wishing to access the South Airport should continue to the San Miguel/Los Abrigos/Las Galletas junction (62), make a U-turn and return towards Santa Cruz to the airport grounds. Those who want to go south from this area will have to head north to the Polígono Industrial de Granadilla junction (52), where they can change direction.

On Monday night, the works will be carried out on the 79B link. Its exit lane and the deceleration lane for junction 81 will be closed to the south, so people who go to Guía de Isora and want to access one of these centers must continue to the Vera de Erques junction ( 87) and change direction. As for the vehicles that wish to go to Adeje from Los Menores, Armeñime or Playa Paraíso, they will have to access via link 79.

On the night of Tuesday 2nd, Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th May, the improvement actions will be carried out from kilometer point 80.6 to 77.2, as well as on the junction 81 incorporation branch. To do this, junctions 78, 79 and incorporation to the expressway of junction 81 will be closed in the direction of Santa Cruz.

On this occasion, vehicles driving towards the capital and wishing to access La Caleta, Fañabé or Adeje must continue to the San Eugenio junction (75), make a U-turn and return to junction 78. In addition, vehicles Those who want to go in the direction of Santa Cruz from the affected areas will have to exit towards Guía de Isora until junction 87 and change direction.

These works are part of the TF-1 resurfacing plan that has been carried out since last April and which includes an execution period of approximately fourteen months. In total, the works, carried out by Sacyr, will comprise nearly 40 kilometers of the road between Adeje and Arico.
