The Candelaria City Council yesterday definitively approved the municipal budget for this year, which amounts to just over 25 million euros, thanks to the 11 votes of the Government group (PSOE) and that of Neighbors for Candelaria, while there were five against of PP (two), Yes you can (two) and CC. The new mayor of Ciudadanos was not present, as usual.
In addition, budget modifications were approved for an amount greater than 900,000 euros. Thus, thanks to the municipal savings, actions will be carried out such as the improvement of the drainage in the Los Menceyes boulevard, through a credit supplement amounting to 180,252.67 euros and that of the Los Brezos recreational area, amounting to 80,065 euros. Likewise, the projects for the auditorium and the municipal swimming pool will be drafted for amounts each close to 200,000 euros and the municipal part was approved for the execution of the Atlante Project, Comprehensive Reactivation of the Farmer’s Market, which amounts to 254,697.20 euros , counting the initiative with a subsidy of 382,045.80 euros from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism. Also, in the economic section, the Auditor’s report on the results of the internal control corresponding to the 2020-2021 financial year was reported, of the average payment period of 25.37 days.
Likewise, a motion was approved on the regulatory ordinance of itinerant tourism or caravans, motorhomes and campers in the municipality of Candelaria presented by Sí Se puede, approved unanimously after an amendment by the Socialist group. In addition, the motion of Neighbors for Candelaria was unanimously approved to request improvements in the schedules and attention to the citizen of the postal services of the municipality of Candelaria.
