The mayor of Culture, Elizabeth Socorro (PP)explains that «after having recovered these distinctions in 2018, after several years without celebrating and with the intention of convening them every two years, a new call had to be postponed due to the pandemic, so the local government took the approval of the corresponding bases to formalize new awards in this 2022 to the plenary session of March 2022 » .
To aspire to one of the prizes Featured Realejeros 2022 It is necessary for people to have been born or registered in Los Realejos and, in the case of entities or institutions, they must have carried out their activity in the municipality. The first deputy mayor, Adolf Gonzalezrecalls that “proposals for this call must be submitted through citizen entities duly registered in the Municipal Registry of Citizen Entities of the locality, of political groups of the municipal corporation of Los Realejos or of at least thirty residents of the municipality».
The bases of this call include the modalities of Social Services and Volunteering, Tourism, Popular Traditions, Culture, Entrepreneurship and Business, and the category “others”, which includes “any work not contemplated in the previous modalities and that is considered worthy of a special recognition”. The jury for this edition of the awards will be made up of the mayor or councilor whom he delegates as chairman, as well as a series of members, including the mayor of culturea councilor for each political group and a representative for each district community table.
