A man is in critical condition after receiving an electric shock in Tenerife. The 44-year-old man received the electric shock when he was working in a manhole located on Carretera España, in the municipality of Santa Úrsula, for which he had to be treated by the health personnel who traveled to the accident site.

As reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government, at 11:09 a.m. a call was received alerting that a man had received an electric shock and needed assistance. After the notice, the 1-1-2 activated the emergency resources and two ambulances, local police and Civil Guard agents traveled to the scene. Once at the scene of the accident, the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) verified that the man was still in cardiorespiratory arrest and proceeded to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers on him. Once stabilized, the affected person was stabilized in the ambulance and transferred in serious condition to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
