The Ministry of Ecological Transition of the Government of the Canary Islands is processing an interior sanitation project in the Chío area, in the municipality of Guía de Isora. The action foresees the installation of collectors for wastewater treatment and drainage of rainwater in several streets and the connection to the general collector of Chío to the West treatment plant.
The regional councilor of the area, José Antonio Valbuena, indicated in a note that “this action with Next Generation funds that is closed with the City Council of Guía de Isora will allow to correct the non-compliance with community regulations on sanitation for which this nucleus was included in the infringement procedure of the European Commission” and announced that “other similar initiatives will be announced in the near future”. The Chío project has an execution amount of 1,285,205 euros and an execution period of 10 months with an estimated start in January 2023.
