The Roads area of the Cabildo de Tenerife will carry out the rehabilitation work on the TF-5 pavement from Sunday, April 24 to Friday, the 29th.
The works will focus on the links of Casa Cuna, Taco-Canary Islands University Hospital, Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria-Ofra University Hospital and Tenerife Norte Airport, in the municipalities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna, explains the Cabildo.
The counselor of Roads, Enrique Arriaga, recalls that with this intervention the Cabildo has rehabilitated almost 50 kilometers of the TF-5, a work that is already in its final phase with the improvement of the links.
This week, the rehabilitation begins on Sunday, the 24th, at the Casa Cuna link.
The works will run from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., so those who need to use this route will have the alternative of circulating along the TF-1 through the Polígono del Mayorazgo and exit 1 of the Pancho Camurria Pavilion, adds the Cabildo .
On Monday 25 and Tuesday 26, the extension of the wearing course will be carried out at the Taco-Hospital Universitario de Canarias link, so exits 5B and 5C in the Puerto de la Cruz direction will be closed.
The alternatives to these routes will be the link between Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria-Ofra or exit 5D to Los Majuelos.
During the night of Wednesday 27, the work will continue on the Hospital Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria-Ofra junction, so exit 4B in the direction of Santa Cruz will remain closed, leaving as an alternative the exit to the general highway of El Rosario in the direction of Santa Cruz.
This week’s rehabilitation will end on the night of Thursday, April 28, and will be carried out on the Tenerife North airport link, closing access to exit 11 in the direction of Santa Cruz. Instead, you can take Padre Anchieta or the old airport link, he concludes.
