Fepeco values the role of Los Realejos as “economic driver of the North”

The directive of the Provincial Federation of Construction Entities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Fepeco), headed by its president, Oscar Leftrecently met with the government group of The Realejos to address the current situation of the sector, as well as the need for new investments in the municipality and in the northern region of the island in favor of the reactivation of construction, industry, commerce and employment.

Fepeco valued the potential of The Realejos as “economic driver of the North”, and the first deputy mayor, Adolf Gonzalez, thanked the visit and opted to promote a collaboration agreement between the town hall and Fepeco that facilitates joint and coordinated actions of future development projects for the town. Izquierdo was accompanied by the members of the Fepeco board Antonio Afonso and Carlos Gonzaleztogether with the manager of the Construction Labor Foundation, Red Conception.

in this meeting both the realejero government and Fepeco They agreed on the historical delay and the need to update and implement road infrastructure to connect with the South and the metropolitan area. Some shortcomings that, in his opinion, “are weighing down an economic resurgence in the north.”

Oscar Left stressed that “the municipality continues to grow, with some 40,000 inhabitants in fact, in an orderly development, always seeking strategic planning, which will be finalized soon, being already in the final phase of approval of the General Planning Plan (PGO), after eleven years in the making. Which is once again an example of how difficult it is to work with a paralyzing bureaucracy, which obstructs everything and dilates over time. The North of Tenerife has its maximum capacity for growth in the Valley, with the intelligent coordination and synergies that exist between the three municipalities, Los Realejos, La Orotava and Puerto de la Cruzbeing an example to follow, since each one is led by a different political party».
