New judicial setbacks for the refugee councilor of the City Council of La Laguna, Alfredo Gómez, who is now facing procedural defeats in a cascade. If yesterday the file of his complaint against the president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Gustavo Matos, was known, today it has transpired that the Contentious-Administrative Court Number 1 of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, has also rejected two appeals that Gómez presented on behalf of a request for information to the Ciudad de Los Adelantados corporation on a file related to a security company and another to a communication company.
Basically, both judicial resolutions leave no room for doubt, since in both sentences it is revealed that, in reality, the turncoat (who presented himself for Ciudadanos and now appears as an unassigned mayor) always had access to said information, making his own the court the arguments made in this regard by the legal representation of the Lagunero City Council, carried out in one case by the local specialist Víctor Medina Fernández-Aceytuno and in the other by the municipal legal services themselves.
That is to say, that Gómez, despite the fact that he requested a protection of Fundamental Rights against the alleged inactivity of the City Council in relation to such requests for information, he could access those data due to the positive administrative silence. In addition, in both cases, the court considers the procedure used by Gómez, who is a lawyer by profession, to be inadequate.
