SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 21 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Government of the Canary Islands has agreed this Thursday the decree approving the public employment offer (OPE) of non-university teaching staff for the year 2022.

It is equipped with 1,110 places, as well as the additional places for stabilization corresponding to 2020 (with 1,389 places) and 2016 (another 4,333), which, together, add up to 5,722.

As for the places corresponding to the replacement rate, calculated at 120% as authorized by the General State Budget Law for 2022, they are distributed in 581, for male and female teachers; 443 for secondary school teachers; 60 for Vocational Training technicians and techniques; 11 for Plastic Arts and Design; six for official language schools; five for inspectors and inspectors of Education; three for Music and Performing Arts, and one for teachers of the Plastic Arts and Design Workshop.

Meanwhile, the positions occupied by civil servants and interim civil servants uninterruptedly in the three years prior to December 31, 2020 amounts to 1,389, which is the result of the calculation referred to in Law 20/2021, of December 28, of urgent measures to reduce temporary employment in public employment (the so-called 2020 stabilization rate) to determine the number of these to include in the Offer.

Specifically, there are 668 vacancies for the Secondary School Teachers Corps, 463 for Teachers, 161 for Vocational Training Technical Teachers, 43 for Fine Arts and Design, 29 for Official Language Schools, 24 for Music and Performing Arts, and one for Masters of Plastic Arts and Design Workshop.

Lastly, the number of vacancies occupied by interim personnel continuously prior to January 1, 2016 (long-term stabilization rate 2016), amounts to 4,333 vacancies.

In this case, there are 1,892 vacancies for the Secondary School Teachers Corps, 1,889 for the Teachers Corps, 343 for the Vocational Training Technical Teachers Corps, 89 for the Plastic Arts and Design Corps, 77 for the Music and Performing Arts, 40 for the Official Language Schools and three for Teachers of the Plastic Arts and Design Workshop.

The approval of the OPE 2022 implies the modification of the offer corresponding to 2021 as it is necessary to subtract from the latter the places that must be formed in the block corresponding to those prior to January 1, 2016, given the entry into force of the aforementioned Law .

Finally, the calls for employment stabilization processes must be published before December 31, 2022 and completed before December 31, 2024.
