The area of Sustainable City and Planning of the Municipality of Puerto de la Cruz will start next week the works to improve the pavement in Valois, Leopoldo Clogon Zulueta and Pitera streets. “After the work carried out in 2019, 2020 and 2021, we continue working with new projects to develop the Municipal Asphalted Plan,” announces the councilor David Hernandez (ACP).
The works, awarded to the company Asphalt and Tafuriaste Works, include the repair of the pavement and the improvement of the conditions of the deteriorated roads, which will result in greater safety for users. The work will be carried out within a month from its start, and its budget is 178,747 euros.
The performances will start in Valois streetwhich is the path that offers greater complexity, so it has been decided to concentrate the work for a week in which the road will remain closed to vehicular traffic. Hernández clarifies that the intermittent closure alternative would mean lengthening these works by more than three weeks and causing greater inconveniences.
David Hernandez explains that “in addition to working on improving the pavement on the busiest roads, the area continues to respond to citizen demands and urgent needs in different neighborhoods, such as in Doctor Manuel Parejo Street, Camino Cordobés or the allotments of Camelia Street or Loro Parque Avenue».
This first phase of asphalting will be completed, later, with the beginning of the works to improve the pavement in Pérez Zamora, José de Arroyo and Manuel Yanes Barreto streetsin addition to the new lots that are in the award or drafting phase.
