SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 21 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, met this Thursday with a small group of temporary medical specialists from La Candelaria Hospital and defended the law of urgent measures approved in December as a way to resolve their situation.
Darias, who was approached by the workers on the occasion of an institutional visit to the complex, has told journalists that they are working on an “exceptional call” for the regional health services that includes a merit contest for people who have been working uninterruptedly before 2016, in line with what has been agreed with the teachers.
Thus, he pointed out that the law contemplates “clear and concise measures” to reduce temporary work in the health sector and improve the “quality” of employment, something that will result in his “stability” and in the “good work” of his work that has been accredited during the pandemic.
In his opinion, this law will allow “putting a stop” to temporality, both current and future.
The doctors have received Darias, who has been accompanied by the Canarian president, Ángel Víctor Torres, and the Minister of Health, Blas Trujillo, with “strike” banners -begins on April 28-, “President Torres, consolidation Now, no excuses!” and “The Government throws us out on the street”.
