Three police officers save a man who tried to jump out the window of his home in Arona

Two local police officers from Arona and an off-duty national police officer managed to save the life of a man who was trying to jump out the window of his home in Los Cristianos (Tenerife), this Tuesday afternoon, as reported by sources from the southern City Council.

It was the off-duty national police officer who noticed that the man was trying to commit suicide, sounding the alarm to a Local patrol that was passing by the place just at that moment. The three agents went up to the individual’s apartment, opened the door of the house and tried to mediate to frustrate his objective, but nothing had any effect. So the three of them grabbed him and, by force, they took him to safety.

The neighbors, alerted by what was happening and by the man’s cries, ended up applauding the work of the agents, who took care of the young man until an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) arrived at the scene to attend to him.
