The National Police It has arrested seven people in the south of Tenerife and seized more than 1,600 counterfeit products, mostly fashion accessories from luxury brands and football club kits, whose market value would exceed 500,000 euros.
At the beginning of April, the Police established a special device in markets in Los Cristianos and Adeje due to suspicions that some businesses were selling counterfeit items, which they confirmed with the collaboration of an official expert from the affected brands.
The arrests occurred in the inspected establishments, where all the merchandise with counterfeit brands was seized, police sources detail.
The counterfeit items were mainly fashion accessories from luxury brands and sports kits from popular international football clubs.
