Calima and more than 30 degrees on Monday in the south of the eastern islands and Tenerife

Thermometers will exceed 30 degrees this Monday in the south and southwest of the eastern islands Y Tenerife on a day that will feature clear skies and haze, according to the Meteorology Statal Agency (Aemet).

From midnight on Sunday and until further notice, the pre-alert for strong southerly winds on the west slope and inland areas of the southern half of Lanzarotethe eastern slope and southern end of Fuerteventurasummits and west slope of The Palm and middle and northern slopes of the metropolitan area of ​​Tenerife.

The gusts will reach 70 kilometers per hour, according to the prediction of the Aemet, for which the General Directorate of Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has declared a pre-alert situation due to wind in the aforementioned territories.

In the sea there will be east or northeast 4 or 5 increasing to 6, locally 7 offshore, on the northwest and southeast coasts. Swell increasing to strong swell offshore on the northwest and southeast coasts. On the northeast coast, variable 1 to 3 and swell. On the west coast, variable 1 to 4, curly or swell. Northwest swell of 1 to 2 meters.

On the other hand, on Tuesday, April 19, different areas of all the islands will be affected by adverse coastal phenomena and, for this reason, the yellow warning will be activated from 00:00 on that day.

LANZAROTE

Clear skies with presence of haze. Decreasing temperatures, which may be notable locally in the maximum values ​​of the northern half; It is not ruled out that 30ºC will be reached in southern areas. Wind from east to northeast, occasionally strong at dawn and with occasional very strong gusts late in the day.

FUERTEVENTURA

Clear skies with presence of haze. Falling temperatures, being notable locally in the maximum of the northern half; It is not ruled out that 30ºC will be reached in southern areas. Wind from east to northeast with intervals of strong occasional very strong gusts on the west coast and in the extreme south at dawn and late in the day.

East component wind with breezes on the south coast, turning northeast and increasing at the end of the day; in summits, southeast wind with strong intervals, decreasing in the afternoon.

Clear skies with haze and with some cloudy interval in the northeast at the end of the day. Minimum temperatures on the rise, except for slight decreases in the middle of the eastern slope; maximum in descent, more pronounced in the middle of the eastern slope. East component wind with strong intervals and very strong occasional gusts on the northwest slope and in the extreme south, without ruling them out in the Aridane valley, during the first half and late hours of the day; in high areas, wind from the southeast with strong intervals.

East component wind with strong intervals and occasional very strong gusts, especially in extreme northeast and south during the first half of the day and in the extreme west at the end; in summits, wind from the southeast occasionally strong, decreasing after noon.
