Las Teresitas car park, again closed due to “high occupancy”

It is already becoming an increasingly common sight on the main beach of Santa Cruz de Tenerife: the car parks of Las Teresitas hang a sign of complete due to high occupancy.

It was shortly after noon when the Municipal Operational Coordination Center (Cecopal) of the Tenerife capital City Council reported through its social networks that vehicle access to the beach was being closed due to “the high level of occupation of the parking lots”.

These car parks have seen their capacity reduced by almost half for months since one of the access roads, the closest to the arena, is reserved solely for the use of municipal services. With this, the number of vehicles that can be parked on the beach has been drastically reduced.

To this we must add that the access to the end of the beach, where the dam is, has also been closed for months and, therefore, the parking spaces that were in that area are also inaccessible.

For all these reasons, the City Council recommends consulting the municipal information website about the state of the beaches and their car parks.

On the other hand, the beaches of Almáciga and Benijo, in Anaga, wave a red flag due to the presence of jellyfish.
