SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 14 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Roads area of the Cabildo de Tenerife will continue during the next week with the work of comprehensive improvement of the pavement of the TF-5.
This time, the work sections focus on the access links to the Vía de Ronda, in the municipality of La Laguna, and in the Casa Cuna, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The Minister of Roads, Enrique Arriaga, explains in a note that for the comfort of drivers and the safety of users, a section does not start until the one that is being worked on is completely completed, a resurfacing that is being carried out at night to reduce the effect on traffic.
In addition, he recalls that the works “advance an average of one kilometer each week, improving the safety of this important road in Tenerife every day.”
As usual, the work is carried out at night between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. the next day, to increase the safety of the works and reduce inconvenience to drivers.
This week’s rehabilitation begins on Sunday at the Vía de Ronda junction, in the direction of Puerto de la Cruz.
For this reason, exit 8A is closed and drivers who want to use it have exit 7A towards Santa Cruz via the Chumberas junction as an alternative.
On Monday, the rolling asphalt will be carried out again at the Vía de Ronda roundabout, which will remain closed and the alternative will be through exits 8B and 8A from Lora Tamayo.
On Tuesday, work will resume again on the Vía de Ronda link from the TF-13 itself to Puerto de la Cruz, so it will be necessary to circulate through exit 8B of Lora Tamayo.
On Wednesday, cars will not be able to access the TF-5 towards Santa Cruz from Vía de Ronda and must use exit 8A, towards Santa Cruz in Lora and Tamayo.
On Thursday, the works will be moved to the Casa Cuna junction, in the direction of Puerto de la Cruz, and exit 3A will be closed to traffic, as will access to the TF-29.
The alternative will be by the TF-1 through Polígono del Mayorazgo and exit 1 next to the Pabellón Pancho Camurria.
