The Cabildo proposes four walking routes to discover the Anaga Biosphere Reserve at Easter. The Minister of Management of the Natural Environment and Security, Isabel García, recommends accessing the Rural Park by public transport and remembers that with the bus ticket for the lines that go to the Massif, parking at the Santa Cruz and La Laguna interchanges will be free.
The four itineraries have excellent connections with the Titsa bus lines. García recommends “the use of public transport, a comfortable and cheap option that reduces the impact of vehicles on the massif,
From the Cruz del Carmen visitor center, four trails are proposed to discover Anaga on foot. All of them have been planned to show the traditional Afur village. The recommendation is to choose the route that suits your physical condition and personal interests.
The first of the routes starts from the Forest House of Taganana to walk towards the houses of La Cumbre until reaching Afur in approximately two hours. The buses of lines 076 and 077 are valid.
The second proposed route starts from the Casa Carlos picnic area to descend towards Taborno and continue towards Afur. In this case the duration is longer, approximately three hours. The buses that can be taken to do this route are 275, 076 and 077.
Route number three starts from La Cruz del Carmen to Las Carboneras. Once there you have to take the connection to Afur. This route crosses Taborno, El Frontón and Lomo Centeno. The last part presents a slightly steeper slope and the total of the way will be four hours. The buses that connect are 275, 076 and 077
The last route starts from the Casa Forestal, in the direction of Taganana and down Las Vueltas. Once in the town, follow the signs for the path that runs along the coast and leads to Playa del Tamadiste to go up the ravine and reach your destination. In this case it is five hours of walking. The transport lines are 076 and 077.
