SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 13 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The fifth section of the Provincial Court of Santa Cruz de Tenerife hosts from next Monday, at 09:30 am, the trial with a jury for the second murder committed in the Padrón Guesthouse, located in the capital of Tenerife.

The Prosecutor’s Office requests a sentence of 25 years in prison and the payment of compensation of 300,000 euros to the heirs of the woman murdered by her then-partner, who put the body in two prison mats and buried them in a cave in the ravine Of saints.

The events date back to June 2009 when the defendant and his partner, who had shared a prison sentence in Tenerife II for crimes of injury and against public health, respectively, meet at the pension to spend the night.

Both are staying in room 306 and after the woman paid him a transfer of 400 euros – she supported him since his time in prison by collecting two non-contributory pensions – she tells him that she wants to break the sentimental relationship.

Faced with this situation, the man, with up to 13 convictions, reacts very violently and using “brutal force”, according to the Prosecutor’s Office report collected by Europa Press, attacks his partner with his hands, his legs and a blunt object causing multiple polytraumatisms, blunt wounds and multiple rib fractures.

These attacks caused her a traumatic shock that could have caused her death, culminating in her being strangled by the accused, who also broke her hyoid bone.

The man used the different physical strength in his favor as well as the physical handicap suffered by the victim, with a 90% disability which, among other things, meant a limitation of movement.

The Prosecutor’s brief acknowledges that the defendant “beat the woman with excessive cruelty and viciousness” “causing her great pain and suffering that were not necessary.”

After committing the acts, the man cleaned the blood from the room but left a few drops of blood in the form of a projection located on the headboard of the bed where the victim was and took a photograph through his mobile phone.

After the ‘rigor mortis’ was over, he wrapped the body with sheets and a blanket and placed it in two mats that were buried in the Santos ravine but years later, and after the victim’s daughter reported her disappearance, some citizens found the body, which appeared as a result of torrential rains.

The alleged murderer is already serving a sentence of 17 years and 6 months in prison for the murder of a former soldier, in the same pension, in early 2010.
