The area of highways Council of Tenerife releases to public information the surface rehabilitation project of the surface of two island roads in the northwest of Tenerife: the TF-366 and the TF-373, which pass through the municipal districts of Icod of the Wines, Garachico and The Tank.
These are roads with “very deteriorated points that make driving uncomfortable, in some cases posing a risk to road safety,” according to the island administration. The Island Councilor for Roads, Enrique Arriaga (Cs)details that this action “reaffirms the commitment of the council for substantially improving the condition of the more than 1,500 kilometers of roads that make up the insular network of roads on the island. And he adds that “some of them had not been intervened for decades.”
“We intervened on island roads where no action had been taken for decades”
The Island Director of Highways, Thomas Felix Garciaadds that the projected action on these two roads contemplates the surface rehabilitation of the pavement, the installation of safety barrier systems and the improvement of vertical and horizontal signaling in two sections that they add about 8.5 kilometers in total. The works will be carried out, specifically, on the TF-366 between kilometer points 0 and 3,300, and on the TF-373 between kilometer 5,800 and 11. The execution period for the works, once they start, will be 5 months.
