Unified Assembly of the People-Yes you can (AUP-SSP) calls for the “immediate” start-up of the medium-sized market of San Juan de la Rambla. The spokesman for the eco-socialist organization in the Ramblera Corporation, John Siveriodenounces what he considers “abandonment and neglect of the municipal government, since after two years of completing the improvement works, the market is still not working.”

“The medium-sized market is one of the fundamental infrastructures for the revitalization of the municipal economy and the creation of jobs. In addition to a key space to promote the local economy and the distribution of food from kilometer 0″, details Siverio. In his opinion, this facility “has proven essential as a result of both the COVID-19 pandemic Covid-19 as well as the product distribution crisis that affects the Canary Islands right now”.

Juan Siverio regrets that this facility “continues to be closed two years after the improvement works”

Siverio, who was part of the local government group during the first half of the mandate, recalls that this mid-market market “It was renovated two years ago and, however, the public tender for its use has not yet been processed”. The AUP-SSP spokesman understands that “it is evident that the municipal government (PSOE-AIS-CC) it delays the processing time of a much-needed service for the municipality due to its manifest inability to develop effective management». And he warns that “later there will be a rush to take a photo before the next elections and thus support his electoral campaign, because we already have experience of these situations in our municipality.”

Juan Siverio (AUP-SSP) The day

For AUP-SSP«when the end of the work to develop a new image, the improvements in the landscaped areas, the new safety signs and the renewal of the graphic image were announced two years ago, the Municipal Government did not hesitate to state that the relaunch of the mid-market market was the main point of the commercial area of this area of the municipality”, regrets the councilor John Siverio.
