The partial resurfacing of the southern highway will continue, from tonight to Wednesday, with the rolling layer at the height of Granadilla de Abona, San Isidro and the Tenerife South Airport only in the Adeje direction. The Island Councilor for Roads, Enrique Arriaga, recalls that part of the existing asphalt layer is reused for sustainability and to avoid excessive consumption of resources.

The work will be carried out around links 54 (Chimiche), 55 (San Isidro-El Médano-Granadilla) and 59 (Tenerife Sur Airport), which will remain closed during the works, between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. .

To ensure the safety of the area, Highways will enable different detours. During this night and Monday, it will not be possible to access interchanges 54 and 55 in the South direction. Therefore, vehicles traveling in that direction and wishing to access San Isidro, Granadilla or El Médano must continue to exit 59, where they can make a U-turn to return, in the direction of Santa Cruz, to the destination area. .

On the other hand, those drivers who from these towns try to drive in the direction of Adeje, must access the motorway towards the capital, to make the change of direction at junction 52, located in the Polígono Industrial de Granadilla.

On the night of Tuesday, the 12th, the rehabilitation work on the road will reach the area of the Tenerife Sur Airport, so link 59 will be affected. During that night, the vehicles traveling on the road heading south and wishing to access the airport complex may continue to link 62 (Las Chafiras-San Miguel-Los Abrigos) to make the U-turn.

Likewise, during the work on Wednesday, those who from the airport or from the San Isidro and El Médano areas need to drive south, must leave in the direction of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, they will be able to use link 52 again to carry out a change of direction
