Clouds in the north of the Canary Islands this Holy Monday

The skies will be cloudy this Monday and with intervals of clouds in the north of the islands with greater relief, while in the rest there will be cloudy intervals that will tend to be slightly cloudy in the easternmost, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet)which announces minimum temperatures in a slight rise and a light to moderate northwest wind.

The AEMET has activated the yellow warning in the Canary Islands starting tomorrow, specifically on the islands of Tenerife, The Palm Y The iron. And it is that from 6:00 p.m. it is expected that the strong waves will affect the province of Tenerife with waves of up to four meters. The yellow warning in the Canary Islands (risk) due to coastal phenomena will be in force, in principle, until Tuesday morning in the north and the metropolitan area of ​​Tenerife, the western slope of La Palma and the island of El Hierro in its entirety.

The rise in minimum temperatures will be notable in inland areas of the southern half of La Palma and the drop will be more noticeable in high areas of Tenerife. On the central peaks of Tenerife, there will be a strong west wind with a probability of very strong gusts.

As for the state of the sea, it announces a north and northwest component wind of force 2 to 4, occasionally 5, swell, locally swell and on the south and southeast coasts, variable 1 to 3 and curly or swell. There will be a northwest swell with waves of 1 to 2 meters, which will increase to 2 to 3 meters.

LANZAROTE

Cloudy intervals tending to slightly cloudy. Minimum temperatures on the rise and maximum temperatures on a slight decline in general, more pronounced in inland areas. Loose northwest wind, slightly more intense in the afternoon.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Reef 14 24

FUERTEVENTURA

Cloudy intervals tending to slightly cloudy. Minimum temperatures on the rise and maximum temperatures on a slight decline in general, more pronounced in inland areas. Loose northwest wind, slightly more intense in the afternoon.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Puerto del Rosario 15 24

GRAND CANARY

Cloudy intervals with a predominance of cloudy skies in the north, where scattered light rains are not ruled out in the early and late hours. Minimum temperatures in slight increase and maximum in slight decrease in general, more pronounced in interior areas. Loose northwest wind, slightly more intense on the northeast and southwest coasts in the afternoon.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 17 21

TENERIFE

Cloudy intervals with probable occasional light rains during the early morning and early hours on the north slope, less likely at the end of the day. Minimum temperatures slightly rising in low areas facing north and falling in midlands and peaks; maximum in descent in midlands and summits, and with few changes in the rest. Loose northwest wind in general, more intense on the southwest slope and the extreme northeast; in central summits, west component wind with strong intervals.

LA GOMERA

Cloudy intervals with a low probability of occasional light rains on the northern slopes in the early and late hours. Minimum temperatures in slight rise in general; maximum in descent in midlands and summits, and with few changes in the rest. Loose north component wind in general, increasing slightly in the afternoon.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): San Sebastián de la Gomera 17 22

THE PALM

Cloudy intervals with probable occasional light rains during the early morning and early hours on the north slope, less likely at the end of the day. Minimum temperatures in slight rise in low areas, especially on the western slope, and in decline in summits; maximum in descent in midlands and summits, and with few changes in the rest. Loose northwest wind in general, increasing slightly in the afternoon.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Santa Cruz de la Palma 15 21

THE IRON

Cloudy intervals with a low probability of occasional light rains on the north slope at dawn. Minimum temperatures in slight rise in low areas and in slight decrease in summits; descending maximums in midlands and summits facing north, and with few changes in the rest. Loose northeast wind in general, more intense in the extreme northeast and west.
