The new cuts in the TF-1 motorway will be carried out as part of the improvement of the roads

The Area of Roads and Mobility of the Cabildo de Tenerife will continue working on the rehabilitation of the TF-1 and will extend the wearing course on the road at the height of Granadilla, San Isidro and the Tenerife Sur Airport, for which new cuts will be carried out on the TF-1 motorway.

In a statement, the Island Corporation pointed out that the work, which will be carried out from Sunday the 10th to the night of Tuesday the 12th, will contribute to improving the comfort of residents and tourists who arrive on the island through this airport complex.

For his part, the Minister of Highways, Enrique Arriagarecalled that in the rehabilitation of this high occupancy road, it has been decided to reuse part of the existing asphalt layer in order to be more sustainable and avoid the excessive consumption of resources.

Hours and areas of cuts on the TF-1 motorway

The rehabilitation, carried out by Sacyr, will affect the road only in the direction of Adeje during the next week. Specifically, the cuts on the TF-1 highway will be carried out at links 54 (Granadilla, Chimiche and CoCarmen), 55 (San Isidro and El Médano) and 59 (South Airport), which will be closed during these days.

Specifically, this measure will be taken at night, between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., so that inconvenience to users is minimised.

To guarantee the safety of the Highways area, different detours will be enabled. During the nights of Sunday the 10th and Monday the 11th, interchanges 54 and 55 southbound will not be accessible.

Therefore, vehicles traveling south and wishing to access San Isidro, Granadilla or El Médano must continue to exit 59, where they can make a U-turn to return, towards Santa Cruz, to the destination area. .

Meanwhile, those who from these towns seek to drive in the direction of Adeje, must access the road to the capital, to make the change of direction at junction 52 of the Granadilla Industrial Estate.

On Tuesday night, the 12th, the rehabilitation work on the road will reach the Tenerife Sur Airport area, so link 59 will be affected.

During this night, vehicles traveling on the road heading south and wishing to access the airport complex may continue to Junction 62 (San Miguel, Los Abrigos and Las Galletas) to make a U-turn.

Likewise, during the work on Wednesday, those who from the airport or from the San Isidro and El Médano areas need to drive south, must leave in the direction of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, they will be able to use link 52 again to carry out a change of direction
