Bajamar beach will reopen on Monday
The reopening of the Bajamar beach will be done “with all the security guarantees”

The Municipality of La Laguna will reopen this Monday Bajamar beach once the repair work on the dam was completed, which lasted eight months.

The reopening of the Bajamar beach will be done “with all the security guarantees” for bathers after the Cabildo de Tenerife has confirmed that the work that remains pending will not affect this coastal space, reports the local corporation in a statement .

The mayor, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, appreciates that the planned action schedule has been met so that the beach can be put into service just at the beginning of Holy Week and thanks the neighbors for “the patience” during these months of work.

The Councilor for Beaches and Pools, Cristina Ledesma, explains that, although the forecast was to open the bathing area on Wednesday, it has finally been decided to bring it forward to Monday because “the appropriate security guarantees are given”.

River Flow & Ocean Flow at Bajamar Beach

The commissioning of the beach will coincide with the start of a social initiative supported by the City Council of La Laguna and which will take place throughout the week.

This is River Flow & Ocean Flow, a pilot project carried out by a team of German and Austrian psychologists who will give surfing classes, together with a lagoon company, for therapeutic purposes to improve the physical and psychological health of the participants. .
