The mayor of the Villa de San Juan de la Rambla, Ezequiel Dominguez (PSOE)celebrates that the public company for the promotion of protected housing Visocan has accepted the Mayor’s proposal for the acquisition of a total of 11 uninhabited dwellings in Saint Josephto be destined for social use within your program Canary Islands + Housing x Family. “A reality that materialized today in the Government Council of the Canary Islands and that it will have an economic endowment of nearly one million euros”, celebrates the mayor.
“This agreement is a milestone for San Juan de la Rambla as far as social provision is concerned, since the incorporation of these dwellings into the catalog of services in the area of Social Welfare, will be a shock to the support system for disadvantaged families and communities”, explains Domínguez. “It is therefore to be applauded that Visocan has assumed the proposal as its own and has fulfilled its commitment to release these ten homes from the Urbanization Los Toscaleswhich were left uninhabited after their construction for various reasons”.
The agreement of the contracting body that was approved in the Council this Friday, April 8, details the direct acquisition of eleven homes located in the street Francisco Oramas Torresin the urban center of Saint Joseph, for a total of 967,007 euros. The commitment acquired with the Local Administration establishes that the farms will be used for social housing, once the mandatory administrative process is completed.
“We continue to reiterate what we stated in March of last year when the manager of Visocan was interested in the aforementioned homes and the urbanizable land in the municipality. The homes of the Los Toscales Urbanization fulfill a double objective, essential and necessary. On the one hand, and due to its good location in the heart of the commercial area, the fact that they are inhabited is a shock to the area, and on the other, and more importantly, it makes it possible to solve the residential problem in San José, opening new ways to attract neighbors and solve problems of a social naturel”, concludes Domínguez.
