The 25th edition of the representation of La Pasión de Adeje has brought together former actors and actresses amateurs who participated throughout the entire trajectory of this event playing the main characters. The organization has reported this week that the tickets to see the live show in Plaza España in Adeje on April 15 are already available on the platform tomaticket.es. The security plan of the event requires capacity control.
The filming of La Pasión 2022 ended last week and more than 300 people have participated in it. To the cast we must add all the directing and filming staff as well as the staff responsible for art, scenery, costumes, transportation, making off, etc. At the moment, the technical and directing team are editing the film, a process that will take about ten days.
Among this year’s cast are several people who played the first Jesuses such as Roberto Melo or Fabián Ramos, and the Marías, in the case of Ana Niebla Magdalena or Esmeralda del Valle. Likewise, people who in these 25 years have put a face to other characters such as Sebastián Álvarez, David Pérez, Pepe Aquino, Sergio Vargas, Florencio Javier and Gabrielle Zizzi as apostles participate.
Other actors who have participated for years in La Pasión de Adeje are Abraham Alonso, Néstor López, Santy Cano, Antonio Acosta and Nicolás Tenias as members of the Sanhedrin or Jordan Elejardes who in this edition will play the role of Herod. As soldiers, Alfredo Zizzi and Santy Cano Jr. participate again in this edition. Likewise, they participate again as members of the people of Jerusalem, many recognizable faces during these years of history.
It must be remembered that this is the first year in which a casting has been called for the interpretation of the main characters, with great success. Finally, the character of Jesus Christ has fallen to José Antonio López Delgado, a decision made by the director of La Pasión, Abraham Gómez, who has highlighted his ability to internalize the character so much. José Antonio López has been the actor who has played Jesus in the latest editions of La Pasión, and as he has stated, he is grateful for his selection and very enthusiastic about this year’s proposal that includes a cinematographic part and another live in the Spain Square.
The Passion of Adeje 2022 can be seen on Friday, April 15 at 12 noon live from Plaza España. The first part will consist of the broadcast of the film that is being shot, on giant screens located in the square; the second part will be live: the meeting of Jesus with his mother and the crucifixion. In any case, all those interested in following La Pasión 2022 will be able to do so through the City Council’s social networks, as well as through Televisión Canaria, 13 TV, Mírame TV, Canal 4 Tenerife and Canal 10TV.
