SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 7 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –
Two men, aged 33 and 50, have been moderately injured after two cars collided head-on as they passed through Tacoronte (Tenerife), as reported by the Canary Islands 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Center.
The events occurred around 04:07 hours on the TF-5 road, heading north, at approximately kilometer point 18, as it passed through the aforementioned municipality, a place to which members of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium moved to free the two people inside the passenger compartment, one from each vehicle.
Subsequently, the staff of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) verified that the 33-year-old man presented, at the initial moment of assistance, moderate injuries to the lower limbs, except for complications, for which he was transferred to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de the Candlemas.
Likewise, the SUC staff assisted the 50-year-old man who, at the initial moment of care, presented a moderate lower limb trauma, except for complications, for which he was transferred by basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the University Hospital of Canary Islands.
Troops from the Highway Maintenance Service also appeared at the scene of the incident, collaborating with the rest of the emergency resources and cleaning the road.
Also in the area were agents of the Local Police and the Civil Guard.
